Connecting Google Calendar lets JaxSuite AI read your existing events to work out real availability, and write confirmed bookings back as calendar events. A prospect picking a slot from a booking link cannot pick one you are already busy for.
How does availability get calculated?
Read access supplies the busy blocks on your calendar, which are subtracted from the working hours you set on the booking link. What a prospect sees is the remainder, so a slot on the page is a slot that was free when the page loaded.
A webhook keeps it current rather than polling. An event added in Google Calendar removes the matching slot without waiting for the next sync, which is what closes the double-booking window between a prospect opening a link and choosing a time.
Does it create the meeting link too?
Yes, for Google Meet. The connection requests permission to create a meeting space, so a confirmed booking arrives with a Meet link already attached rather than a calendar hold someone has to follow up on.
Zoom is available as a separate connection for teams that standardise on it, and a booking link can be configured to use either.
How to connect Google Calendar
- Open the Calendar section of the dashboard and choose Connect Calendar.
- Pick Google and sign in with the account holding the calendar you book against.
- Grant calendar read and event permissions.
- Set working hours, meeting length and buffer on the booking link.
- Share the link, or add it to a campaign sequence.
What this connection does not do
- Availability comes from the calendars you connect; an event on a calendar you did not connect will not block a slot.
- Declining an event in Google Calendar frees the slot again, which is the intended behaviour but surprises people.
